In 2H15, Kalbe Farma (KLBF) will focus on high-margin products such as cancer medicines and ready-to-drink milk to maintain its financial performance in 2015. The company has commenced operation of an oncology drug plant in 2H14, but the contribution to total revenue is still small. The company is building a biosimilar factory in Cikarang with US$25m-30m investment. The company hopes this biosimilar factory can contribute 10% to total revenue in the next 7-10 years. The biosimilar factory will be completed sometime in 2018-19 and requires a further 1-3 years to develop the products. The company is looking for JV partner in Thailand and Vietnam to increase its export sales. In addition, the liquid milk plant in Sukabumi is still being completed.

During an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of shareholders, Handaya Mandala Sampoerna (HMSP) had reached an agreement to pay out dividends of Rp3.45t (or Rp787 per share) on 18 Sept 2015. Moreover, during the meeting, Troy J. Modlin was assigned as the new director of HMSP, replacing Nikolaos Papathanasiou who resigned to join Philip Morris International’s (PMI) senior management. The company also reduced its rights issue target price from Rp63,000-99,000 to Rp65,000-77,0000. As at end-1H15, the company has spent Rp481.8b capex from its total capex allocation of Rp1.11t.

Bakrie Group plans to seek funds worth US$329m to refinance two of its subsidiaries’, Energi Mega Persada (ENGR) and Visi Media Asia (VIVA), loans in 4Q15. ENGR is planning to refinance a US$134m loan which has an interest rate of 20% p.a. and was obtained from Pro Strategic Investors. Currently, the company is seeking out US$200m in bank loans. On the other hand, VIVA is seeking funds of US$195m to refinance its loans from Credit Suisse.
