Event Recap of President Halimah State Visit to Indonesia
On Tuesday, 4th of February 2020, President Halimah Yacob met with Singaporeans in Indonesia in 2 receptions held at the Shangri-La Hotel.
This is President Halimah’s first State Visit to Indonesia and reaffirms the wide-ranging, substantive and mutually-beneficial relationship between Singapore and Indonesia.
According to straitstimes.com, President Halimah noted that Singapore and Indonesia had signed more than 20 agreements to conduct training programs to help thousands of Indonesian officials and trainers scale up and better meet the demands of an ever-changing digital economy.
During her state visit, Madam Halimah met President Joko Widodo in Bogor and they witnessed the signing of an updated avoidance of double tax agreement.
One of these proud moments, we are pleased to say that the Singapore Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia was invited to the reception and had a good time discussing with the President herself.
