AEPC Championship 2015 Player Profiles: Shanghai
Jakarta. Expatriate pool players in Asia will compete on May 9 in the Asia Expat Pool Challenge — Super Singles Championship 2015.
The event will be held at After Hour, a billiard-theme bar in Sarinah Building in Thamrin.
The Jakarta Globe is a media partner of the championship event.
The following is a list of players representing Shanghai:
Alan Wong, 38, born in Hong Kong
Wong first started playing pool when he was 13 years old and has been a regular player since then. He moved more than 10 years ago to Shanghai, where he plays both snooker and pool.
Wong has an advantage in that he can play whenever he wants as he owns his own pool bar and plays competition pool in the Shanghai Pool League.
He has had no big competition wins but he is certainly a very skilled player.
Freddie Soh, 49, born in Singapore
Soh is the Asia Expat Pool Challenge Super 12s Singles Champion for2014. In the Shanghai Pool League Clubs, he plays for Masse Sharks.
He also a three-time Singapore National Pool Champion. He represented Singapore from 1991 to 2006 for the Southeast Asian Games and Asian Games.
