In 2015, the domestic flight market was dominated by Lion Air while the international flight market was dominated by Garuda Indonesia (GIAA). Lion Air carried 26.48m domestic passengers which accounted for 35% of total domestic passengers of 76.62m in 2015, while Garuda Indonesia (GIAA) flew 19.96m passengers, representing of 26% of 2015’s total domestic passengers. Garuda Indonesia (GIAA) dominated the international flights by carried 4.17m passenger (or market share of 16.54%), followed by Indonesia Air Asia with 3.66m passengers (market share of 15%).
