Ever since its establishment in 2011, Korea Tourism Organization Jakarta Office (KTO Jakarta) routinely held an annual “celebration” that gets bigger every year. The ultimate goal of KTO Jakarta is to introduce Korea to the Indonesian community with the intention to increase Indonesian tourists to Korea in the future.

In 2015, KTO Jakarta will be presenting its upcoming special event called “K-Festival & Enjoy! Gangwon” at Lotte Shopping Avenue, Jakarta, on May 1-3, 2015. The festival is organized by KTO Jakarta in collaboration with the Government of Gangwon Province, and fully supported by the Embassy of Korea and the Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (KCCI). The festival will also take the opportunity to promote tourism spot in Gangwon, which is known for its famous natural beauty.

The festival will also be presenting various performances such as NANTA, special appearance from K-POP Star New Planet Icons (NPI), traditional performing arts from Korea Samulnori, K-Beauty Class of Laneige, and many more. There will also be a mini travel mart that provide traveling package to Korea.

A photography exhibition of Gangwong tourism will also be exhibited during the festival for one month, starting from April 27 to May 27, 2015. There are about 40 pieces of beautiful scenery photos that will be exhibited in this event. The photo zone “Hanbok” will also be available as well as the traditional Korean game “Yunnori” and “Jegichagi” for those interested in Korean culture.
