Jakarta. MAXpower Indonesia, the local unit of Singaporean energy firm MAXpower, on Monday signed a joint venture agreement with Lamong Energi Indonesia.
The companies will work with state-owned port operator Terminal Teluk Lamong and state-owned builder Adhi Karya to construct a gas-fired power plant to serve the Terminal Teluk Lamong Industrial Port in Surabaya, East Java.
The power plant is expected to be in service by the end of this year, Arno Hendriks, MAXpower’s chief executive, said in a statement.
