Pertamina to Start New Gasoline Unit in July
Jakarta. Indonesia’s Pertamina expects its RFCC Cilacap gasoline project to begin operations in July of this year and be fully operational by August with estimated output of 62,000 bpd of RON92 gasoline, an official at the state oil and gas company said on Wednesday.
The RFCC project will compliment the current Cilacap oil refinery output of around 160,000 bpd of RON88, Rachmad Hardadi, director of refining at Pertamina told reporters on Wednesday.
“Investment of RFCC was $850 million and began in 2011,” said Pertamina CEO DwiSoetjipto. “It can be accelerated and is expected to be on-stream in the middle of the year.”
Pertamina is also working on its Langit Biru Cilacap refinery project with an investment of $450 million, which is targeted to come on-stream in 2018, he added.
