XL’s Dian Siswarini Steps Up To President Director Post
Jakarta. XL Axiata, Indonesia’s second-largest telecommunications provider by subscribers, appointed Dian Siswarini as its new president director, the company announced on Wednesday at its annual shareholders’ meeting.
Dian replaces Hasnul Suhaimi, who had held the post from September 2006, according to XL Axiata spokesman Henry Wijayanto.
Dian previously served as the company’s deputy president director.
Shareholders also voted to bring former finance minister Muhamad Chatib Basri to XL Axiata’s board of commissioners.
XL posted Rp 891.06 billion ($68.46 million) in losses last year, a massive plunge from its Rp 1.03 trillion profit in 2013, due to ballooning expenses. The company’s purchase of mobile phone operator Axis Telekom Indonesia in March last year also contributed to the loss.
The company’s is majority-owned by Malaysia’s Axiata.
