SingCham was proud to host the awarding event for the inaugural ‘SingCham Uplifting Scholarship’ Program, an initiative by SingCham and its program partner, Kinobi
This scholarship program has been awarded to chosen 8 Indonesian university students, who will receive financial aid of up to IDR 4,000,000 and an opportunity to get a paid internship at a Singapore-based or Singaporean-led company in Jakarta. We are thankful to our corporates partners, PT Bank UOB Indonesia, APRW, Titan Corporation, and Withersworldwide
The event was presided by Singapore’s Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia H.E. Kwok Fook Seng. H.E. Ambassador Kwok addressed the audience and shared more on Singapore and Indonesia’s close relations, thanked the corporate partners and encouraged the Indonesian students to make the most of this unique opportunity. We also thank Pak Hendra Gunawan, President Director, PT UOB Indonesia for your inspiring address and support towards this initiative.
The awarding ceremony was followed by the SingCham Uplifting Summit which included three mentoring sessions from corporate partners to equip all participants with insights and knowledge about financial management, strategic thinking, and motivational state of mind.
The SingCham Uplifting Scholarship aligns with SingCham’s long-term vision of nurturing a new generation of Indonesian leaders inspired by Singaporean excellence and innovation. The initiative aims to bridge the two nations through education and industry collaboration by equipping scholars with values and standards of Singapore’s professional excellence, to contribute to the economic and cultural connectivity between Singapore and Indonesia. In the upcoming year, SingCham envisions expanding this program beyond eight participants, aiming for a broader impact in the future.
